This project was created under the theme “Time.” The video explores evolution and nostalgia through technology and generational connection—portraying my grandma on a rotary phone, my mom on a landline, and myself on an iPhone. Through these scenes and dialogue, the piece reflects how communication and identity evolve throughout time.

This was the third video I created in my Video Art class, featuring a single lightbulb in a dark room to explore movement and emotion through light. I performed various motions and later enhanced the footage in Premiere Pro using color adjustments, transitions, and sound design to evoke shifting moods. Dancing Lights received an Honorable Mention in the 2025 Art Show for Video Art.

I interviewed students across different college campuses, including Mizzou and Columbia College, to capture diverse perspectives on self-expression through style and identity. This piece allowed me to connect with people through interviews.
