Titled “Rooted in the Breeze” with the subtitle “freely I roam, and still, I belong,” this series of ten photographs was created for a small book exploring sequencing, editing, text, and format. Captured in my hometown on a small farm, the images reflect my renewed appreciation for my roots and convey that while life evolves, we always have a place to return to. Photographed cattle symbolize farm life and a spirit of freedom, while the land represents both familiarity and vast opportunities. Playful elements like a cartwheel and tire swing evoke movement, change, and nostalgic childhood memories. After shooting, I refined the images in Photoshop, applying selective blur effects and an old-fashioned black-and-white filter to unify the series and enhance its reflective tone.
